Oh my gosh, Oratory is so difficult in that I don’t even know what my topic is. It’s scary because I don’t want to make a mistake or be wrong so I tend to second-guess myself. I am worried. I just hope I don’t make a mistake and I’m just going to go forward with my gut-instinct.

Lesson 2: Don't be afraid
I’m sitting in my first morning IE lesson right now. I’ve never had a real speech coach so and suddenly having five really experienced IE coaches and a devoted Oratory coach is really awesome.

So I definitely won’t be able to keep up with Tumblr in these next two weeks, so I’m sorry :( but I did pay $30 for one-week internet so I could keep up somewhat, but we have 12 HOURS OF SPEECH every single day. It’s intense and they say its really tiring, but so worth it :)

Packing....AGAIN
Man, packing for two weeks is ridiculous. I’m too lazy to do laundry, so I’m just bringing 2 weeks worth of clothes, plus bedding and towels and all that good stuff that you need for dorms. Like..at all. It won’t even detect any CD’s/DVD’s and under Disk Utility, my CD drive doesnt even show up.
What is happening?? I just insert a disk, it spins a few times, then it won’t eject. I have to keep sleep/unsleep my computer until it randomly ejects :(

Speech and Debate Novice Workshop
I’m happy. This went very well today, and quite frankly, I’m proud that our officer team was able to pull this together amidst the circumstances that always act against us. For such a short notice, the turnout was amazing- 80%? We had almost forty people out of fifty today. Now that’s the real accomplishment.

Life has been constantly about college and college apps. There is literally not one hour where I don’t think about it or something related to it. It sucks, but I guess it can be a good thing since now I know that I care….alot.
Last week my mom yelled at me over the phone for like 20 min because she said I was 1) spending too much money and 2) not spending enough time on college apps....
