I guess you could consider me an emotional person. It’s not like I’m a drama queen or anything, but I just get emotional about things that mean a lot to me.
Tonight’s Speech Banquet was just a tearjerker. I’ve never been so emotional for such an extended period of time in my life.
Joining this team has been the best decision of my high school career. I can’t even begin to list the hundreds of ways speech has changed my life. With that, it’s so hard to say goodbye to an activity that has defined my high school career, my personality, and my life.
Tonight was probably the last time this team will be together in one location. And even though I will probably see many of them individually next week, goodbyes felt so permanent. Letting go is a painful feeling.
I love this team. I love Speech & Debate. This team will stay with me forever.
