the life of chao(s)

welcome to the sanctuary where
my mind vomits into cyberspace,
and every day is a good day :)

ABOUT ME

What is your story?
Are you the boy from Colorado who taught himself Mandarin Chinese in middle school? Are you the teacher who has witnessed stressed students to the point of suicide? Or are you the proud parent of three children, all Columbia University alum?
Over the past few days, Carpus and I have spent over ten hours talking to students, parents, teachers, and college admission officers from all across the country. We’ve been inspired by every story, and gain a new perspective during each interview. But what is most interesting is that while each enlightening story is unique and individual, the underlying message is still the same. Despite all of our differing backgrounds and experiences, we all have learned the same lesson.
Carpus and I hope to spark discussion within our community by passing on those stories and that united, resounding message with the work we have done. It is our way of saying thanks, and giving back to a community that has given us so much.
Stay tuned :)
